Ibiza is a natural paradise for lovers of a good liqueur. Herbs and plants grow wild on the island, and some of them are distilled into a unique liqueur that has been enjoyed by local, national and international visitors for many centuries.
If there is one liqueur that connects our senses with Ibiza’s beautiful countryside, it is undoubtedly the Artisan Herbs liqueur.
What are Fluxà Artisan Herbs?
Artisan Herbs Fluxà, made in-house, is a traditional spirit from Ibiza and Formentera made with the careful maceration, on the basis of 70º agricultural alcohol, of various local plants such as fennel, thyme, rosemary, lemon verbena, lavender, rue, eucalyptus, chamomile, juniper with juniper berries, oregano, mint, spearmint, lemon and orange leaves and peel, and sage in the presence of other plants such as star anise or badiana and green anise or matafaluga.

How do we make our Artisan herbs?
Artisan Herbs with Denomination of Origin are obtained after the maceration, distillation and infusion of the plants combined with sugar and alcohol.
The elaborated product must have an alcohol content between 24 and 38% vol. and its sugar content cannot exceed 250 grams per liter of the final product.
For this product, at Fluxà Ibiza we use maceration vats and an old copper still with which we distill, over a slow gas fire, for 18 hours.
The 18 plants we use for our recipe come from our botanical garden (frígola, rosemary, sage, lemon verbena, rue, eucalyptus, etc.). In our case, we only use plants, without any other added essence, and that is why we are an Artisan Agroalimentary Industry.
All our liqueurs come from the plants and fruits of our farm and all of them are elaborated in an artisan way.
