Artisanal Herbs Workshop
Handcrafted Production of Traditional Products
How does it work?
The artisanal herbs workshop begins with a short talk by Joan Tur, where he explains his personal project, his decision to run an artisanal business rather than an industrial one, and the purpose of the botanical garden.
After the talk, a pleasant walk through the Fluxà Ibiza botanical garden begins, during which the 18 plants that will be used to make the prized liqueur are collected.
A walk filled with anecdotes, as well as botanical and traditional details about each plant. At the start of the visit, each participant is given a pair of gloves, pruning scissors, and a small basket to collect the plants they will use to make their own bottle of artisanal herbs liqueur.
After the walk, it's time for the herb tasting, because you can't create what you don't truly know. Gathered around a large work table and guided by Joan, the workshop participants will begin adding the different plants to the bottle with the help of the “fura” (a traditional tool)
It's time to delve into the secrets of each plant, paying special attention to their textures and aromas. The process concludes with the addition of the special anise provided by Fluxà Ibiza.
The bottles are sealed, and after three months, it's time to open them and discover at home that we’ve crafted the finest artisanal herbs in the world, because there’s no doubt: nothing tastes like "homemade"!
