What is Guindilla Pepper jam?
The botanical name for chilli peppers is Capsicum. These plants of the Solanaceae family produce the small hot peppers that today are consumed all over the world. It is a genus of plants native to the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas.
Annuum, baccatum, chinense, frutescens and pubescens are the five major families of capsicum that make up almost all the chilli peppers we eat. The intensity of chilli pepper pungency is measured by scoville units, which is nothing more than the number of times a chilli extract must be diluted in sweetened water to cease to be perceived.
In our botanical garden we grow five different types of chilli with different degrees of spiciness that we combine depending on the product. The elaboration of all our products is done in an artisanal way using the product that we grow in our farm and botanical garden.
How do we elaborate the Guindilla chili jam?
Fluxà chili jam is handmade from red chili peppers, sugar and agar-agar.
It is a 100% natural product, ideal to accompany cheeses, pasta and all kinds of meats.
